Chelsea Soccer player charged with DWI Chelsea Soccer player charged with DWI

Nigerian international soccer player, John Mikel Obi, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after police stopped him in London.

Johns Mikel Obi plays for the Nigerian national soccer team and for Chelsea in England.  Obi was arrested in west London in the early morning hours and charged with drunk driving.  The arrest occurred in the vicinity of where Chelsea practices.

Obis is one of many athletes that have been arrested for Drinking and driving in the past year.  It begs the question, "Why do you not take a taxi or hire a driver if you have as much money as these athletes?"  It seems that the smear to your reputation that a DWI / DUI / Drunk Driving charge would bring to these high profile persons would be enough to do just that.
