DWI Defense Lawyer Charged with DUI
A DWI defense lawyer in New Mexico was arrested for suspicion of DUI according to video footage that was released by police.
A New Mexico police agency released video footage of the arrest of a prominent New Mexico drunk driving defense lawyer on Friday January 30,2009. The video that was released allegedly contains evidence that will be used to prosecute the lawyer that is allegedly depicted in the video.
According to a local New Mexico news station, the lawyer appeared to say "You're gonna say I have slurred speech and all that crap..." The attorney allegedly was driving his vehicle when it struck a curb. According to a witness, the attorney was verbally abusive to the police officers.
