Houston Driver faces Intoxication Manslaughter Charges Houston Driver faces Intoxication Manslaughter Charges

Houston, Texas - The driver of a vehicle is facing Intoxication Manslaughter charges after he lost control of his vehicle and his passenger was killed.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the driver lost control of the vehicle in the early morning hours in west Harris County, struck a curb and then hit a tree.  Harris County Sheriff's Deputies confirmed that there was a fatality related to the accident.  The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital where blood-alcohol testing was performed.  According to Harris County Deputies, the testing showed a blood-alcohol level of over twice the legal limit.

Another driver at the scene was arrested for Driving While Intoxication - DWI.  The accident is still under investigation and more charges may be filed.
