Texas Prosecutor Arrested and Charged with DWI Texas Prosecutor Arrested and Charged with DWI

Austin, Texas - An assistant district attorney was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after police stopped him on a traffic infraction.

A Travis County assistant district attorney has submitted his resignation after police arrested him for driving while intoxicated - DWI.  According to the Asutin Police Department, the government's lawyer was pulled over for a traffic violation near the popular 6th Street bar area.  After performing field sobriety tests on the lawyer, the police officer determined that he was intoxicated and arrested him for suspicion of DWI.  According to the police, the prosecutor took a breath test and the reading was over double the legal limit.  Shortly after the incident, the assistant district attorney resigned his postion as a prosecutor.
