Conroe, Texas - Montgomery County Judge Alan Sadler has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated after a crash last month.

As previously reported, Judge Alan Sadler was involved in an accident in March 2009.  Montgomery County law enforcment officers investigated Sadler for possible drunk driving charges and had Sadler perform standardized field sobriety tests.  According to reports, Sadler performed poorly on the field sobriety tests and was detained for a short time that evening.  According to law enforcement officials, Sadler initially refused to take a breath test and a warrant to take his blood was obtained.  Eventually that night, Sadler was released and not charged with DWI / drunk driving pending the results of the blood test.  Reportedly, the results of the blood test showed that Sadler was over the legal limit and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated - DWI.
