Dane Johnson

Dane Johnson is a native Texan who has spent is entire life in the great state of Texas.  Dane attended the University of Texas in Austin before receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston in 1994.  While most students take three years to complete law school, Dane excelled at the University of Houston Law Center and became one of the school’s youngest graduates in 1996.

Dane was hired by the Galveston County District Attorney’s office where he quickly became a chief prosecutor in County Court at Law No. One.  With over fourty jury trials in his first two years as a prosecutor, Dane was revered as a rising star in the office. He was responsible for the training and developing of new assistant prosecutors joining the office.

In 1999, Dane won an extremely difficult case against two prestigious criminal defense lawyers from Houston. Due to his unmatched trial skills, the criminal defense firm in Houston was deeply impressed and quickly hired Dane away from the prosecutor’s office.  After joining the Houston firm, Dane handled the majority of the DWI / DUI and alcohol related offense caseload.  Through trials, seminars, and continuing education classes, Dane sharpened his DWI defense skills.

In 2004, Dane Johnson became one of the youngest lawyers to become Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and decided to open his own practice.  At this point in his career, he had already litigated over 60 Texas DWI jury trials.

Additionally, Dane is a recognized member of the National College for DUI Defense, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA), the State Bar of Texas – Criminal Law, the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association (HCCLA), and the Houston Bar Association – Criminal Section.

While Dane has handled almost every type of criminal case, he is dedicated to defending those accused of DWI/DUI and upholding the Constitutions of the United States and Texas for all of the firm’s clients.
